The apostolic church, as a denominational name, was adopted in 1916 in the United Kingdom by a body of believers who had been led by God. They followed the principles and practices of the early apostles, as shown in the Acts of Apostles in the New Testament.
The church believes its task is evangelism and this is its supreme calling. It also believes that it must have a relevant message speaking authoritatively on the spiritual and moral problems of the day. (The church earnestly contends for faith as originally formatted to become the apostolic fellowship).
Triumphant Christian Church in Washington, D.C. U.S.A. started January 12th 1992. It started at a one bedroom apartment with a total of ten people. Within four months, it moved into a storefront, then to a building complex and finally into a sanctuary in April 1997. By the grace of God, the Church continues to march on.

- It is our Vision to preach the Gospel of Our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ to every creature.
- To be in a place where the depressed, frustrated and the confused can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness and encouragement.
- To equip every believer for a significant ministry by helping them discover, develop and deploy the gifts and talents God gave them.
- To have a Bible College/Seminary to equip and train the Christian faith for great expansion.
- To be a church where every member is an evangelist, where every worker is a Prayer Warrior.
